Prof. Dr. Bamadev Paudel (Founder)

Dr. Bamadev Paudel is a graduate from Wayne State University in the United States with research focus on International Macroeconomics. He is originally from Nepal where he witnessed people’s plight from very close for many years which was the source of inspiration for him to have this organization incorporated. In Nepal, he worked for about nine years in the country’s central bank, Nepal Rastra Bank, where he was involved in macroeconomic policymaking including participation in various research projects and taking part in international seminars. One of his research works at the Bank has been cited by The New York Times. He also worked for about a year in the Catholic University of Korea in South Korea as an instructor in 2011 and 2012. In Canada, Dr. Paudel was involved for more than a year in a research project at the University of Toronto before heading to assume the role of Professor of Economics in Sheridan College. The project conducted research about various socio-economic aspects of First Nations communities in the province of Ontario. He also taught courses in economics at Laurentian University. He has published papers in peer-reviewed international journals.

Prof. Dr. Albert Berry

Dr. Albert Berry is Professor Emeritus of Economics and Research Director of the Program on Latin America and the Caribbean at the Centre for International Studies at the University of Toronto. His research fields are economic development and international economics, with due focus on Latin American labor markets and income distribution, the economics of small and medium enterprises, and agrarian structure and policy. He has garnered extensive knowledge in his field by working in various national and international organizations including the Ford Foundation, the Colombian Planning Commission, and the World Bank. Dr. Berry has published more than 100 papers in renowned journals and edited or co-edited seven books.
